Chicken Burgers

- 1- pound lean ground chicken thawed
- 1/3 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 slices Provolone or cheddar cheese
- 4 burger buns
Optional toppings:
- 1 tomato sliced
- Lettuce
- Pickle slices
- 1 onion sliced
- Ketchup
- Mayo
Heat grill over medium heat.
Add ground chicken, breadcrumbs, mayo, and seasonings to a large mixing bowl, and gently mix with hands or a wooden spoon until just combined.
Form into 4 equal sized patties.
Gently oil grill grates to prevent sticking.
Place patties directly onto grill grates and cook for 5 minutes per side or until at 165 degrees F internally. Top each patty with cheese, then remove from grill.
Place onto buns and top as desired, then serve warm.

- Having an internal thermometer will help tell when the temperature of the burgers reach 165 degrees F.
- You can make these spicy by adding cayenne and using pepper jack cheese.
- The patties can be made ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator sealed tightly up to 24 hours.
