Chicken Bacon Ranch Grilled Cheese

With a variety of flavors, this Chicken Bacon Ranch Grilled Cheese is a hit for lunch or dinner. Quick to make, easy and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sandwich bread any variety (I used sourdough)
  • 3 Tablespoons salted butter softened
  • 1 cup cooked chicken shredded
  • 4 slices bacon cooked
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese
  • ¾ cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup ranch dressing + more for serving

Instructions

  • Butter both sides of each slice of bread.
  • Spread ranch on top side of each slice of bread.
  • Add two slices of Provolone to each slice of bread.
  • Add bacon to top of Provolone on two slices of bread.
  • Divide chicken evenly over top of bacon.
  • Divide cheddar cheese evenly over chicken.
  • Add top bread, Provolone side down, and set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Grease lightly with non-stick spray.
  • Place prepared sandwiches into preheated skillet and heat for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, pressing down gently with a spatula.
  • Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from heat and cut into halves, top with optional garnish, and serve.

Notes

  1. Extra ranch for serving is not included in nutritional value.
  2. Any sandwich bread will work, but we like a sturdier bread like sourdough which we used for this recipe.
  3. You can use other combinations of cheese if you'd like, see above on ideas.
  4. We do not recommend freezing this sandwich.
  5. Easily double this recipe if you want to serve more people.
  6. Use any of your favorite chicken, as long as it is shredded.
  7. Extra ranch for dipping is amazing to get even more of that ranch flavor.
  8. Cook your bacon how you enjoy it.
