BBQ Chicken Pizza
Super easy and tasty, this BBQ Chicken Pizza is a family favorite. Done in a short time with minimal ingredients.

- 1/3 cup BBQ Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken roughly 1- 1 1/2 chicken breasts
- ½ pound of raw pizza dough rolled into a 12-inch circle
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon cornmeal or semolina flour
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup thinly sliced red onions
- 1 Tablespoon fresh chopped cilantro for garnish
- More BBQ Sauce for garnish if desired
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F with the oven rack slightly lower than center. Put the pizza stone on the rack while the oven preheats.
In a small bowl, whisk the BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, and oregano together.
Remove 2 tablespoons of this sauce to a bowl with the shredded chicken. Toss the chicken in the sauce and set aside.
Remove the pizza stone from the oven and brush the olive oil on top of the stone followed by sprinkling the cornmeal on top. Quickly lay the rolled-out pizza dough on top of the stone.
Spoon the sauce on top, leaving a 1-inch border around the side for a crust.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce followed by the chicken and red onions. Quickly return the pizza to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Cut into 8 slices and serve immediately.
Sprinkle chopped cilantro and drizzle more BBQ sauce on top for garnish if desired.

- Other toppings that you can add include sliced jalapeños, bacon, mushrooms, etc.
- We do not recommend freezing this recipe.
- You can use homemade pizza dough or raw dough from the grocer.
- Using freshly shredded cheese helps it melt better.
- You can use rotisserie chicken for this recipe.
- If you don’t have a pizza stone, do the same process on the back of a cookie sheet.
- Don’t skip the cilantro! It adds a delicious freshness to this pizza and gives it a little something special.
