Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders

A quick and easy family friendly dinnertime meal, these Bacon Wrapped Chicken tenders are easy, flavorful and fun for everyone.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 ½ - 2 pounds chicken tenders
  • 8-12 bacon strips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with a cooling rack.
  • Mix the brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  • Coat the chicken tenders with the spice mixture.
  • Wrap each chicken tender with a strip of bacon and place them on the cooling rack.
  • Place the chicken tenders in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  • Set the oven to broil, then place the chicken under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes per side until the bacon crisps up.
  • Remove from oven and serve.

Notes

  1. You can prepare these up to 24 hours in advance. Season your chicken and wrap it in the bacon, then cover with plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator until you're ready to bake. 
  2. Regular cut bacon works best, but you can use thick-cut but it will take longer to bake.
  3. Add some spice to the recipe, see above on how to do that.
  4. Use any of your favorite dipping sauces for these.
  5. These can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
  6. Easily double this recipe to serve a larger crowd.
