Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 2 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 4 ounces ginger ale
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • Candied ginger and extra lime to garnish optional

Instructions

  • Fill a glass with ice and pour in the whiskey.
  • Top with the ginger ale.
  • Pour in the lime juice and mix with a cocktail stirrer.
  • Garnish with a lime twist and some candied ginger if desired.

Notes

  1. Use your favorite kind of whiskey, we use Jameson.
  2. Ginger Beer can be substituted for a stronger flavor.
  3. You can make this with bourbon as well.
  4. Fresh lime juice is the best, but bottled will work in a pinch.
  5. You can easily double or triple this recipe to serve more people.
  6. This is great all year round.
