Creamt Ground Beef Pasta

Tasty, easy, and filling - this Creamy Ground Beef Pasta is a great one pot dinnertime meal for any day of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic finely diced or crushed
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 25 ounces tomato sauce
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 1- pound rotini or your favorite short pasta
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan or dutch oven over a medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring, for 4 minutes or until softened. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef and cook, stirring and breaking up any lumps, until no longer pink, drain.
  • Add the tomato sauce, chicken stock, pasta, and Italian seasoning. Stir until combined. Bring to a simmer, then cover with a lid and reduce to a low-medium heat and cook for roughly 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the pasta is cooked.
  • Stir tin the heavy cream and season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from the heat.
  • Divide the pasta between serving bowls, and top with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

  1. Other meats can be used, see above on what goes good with this.
  2. Easily sneak in some vegetables like diced tomatoes, corn, spinach and mushrooms.
  3. Other pasta can be used, see above for suggestions and amounts.
  4. If you want, you can substitute the chicken broth for beef broth.
  5. Sprinkle with shredded parmesan cheese to finish this dish off.
