Ingredients

Dressing Ingredients:

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon white granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon dried onion
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Salad Ingredients:

  • 2 English cucumbers thinly sliced (7-10 small ones) - 4-5 cups
  • ½ cup red onion thinly sliced

Instructions

  • In a large bowl add the dressing ingredients. Mix until fully combined. Taste to see if more salt is needed.
  • Add the cucumbers and red onion.
  • Toss until the cucumbers and onions are fully combined.
  • Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

  1. You can use regular cucumbers if you cannot find English, see above on how to do that.
  2. Greek yogurt can be used in place of the sour cream.
  3. This can be stored up to 3 days but we recommend serving within 24 hours so it doesn't get too watery.
  4. Make sure you are slicing your onions and cucumbers thinly.
  5. Make sure that you chill this for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. This goes great with any main dish, so its perfect for picnics, gatherings and BBQ's.
  7. In place of the sugar you can also use honey.
  8. If you want to use fresh dill you can use 1 Tablespoon of fresh for every 1 teaspoon of dried.
