Bacon Wrapped Sausages

Want a breakfast that is the best of both worlds? Then you need these Bacon Wrapped Sausages, super easy, tasty and the perfect morning treat.

Ingredients

  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 14 pork sausage links
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 7 strips of bacon cut in half (not thick cut)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a medium pan. Add the pork sausage links to a pan and cook just until they are no longer pink. Remove the sausage links and let them cool.
  • Combine the maple syrup and dijon mustard in a small dish. Set aside.
  • When the sausages have cooled to the touch, wrap the bacon slices around them (you can secure them with a toothpick if needed). Place them on the baking sheet.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven for 8 minutes.
  • After 8 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven, and increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees.
  • Spread the dijon syrup over each sausage link and return to the oven. Bake for another 12-14 minutes.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the sausage links cool for a minute. Serve warm with your favorite breakfast dishes.

Notes

  1. Make sure that you do not use thick cut bacon.
  2. You can use any of your favorite pork breakfast sausage (uncooked) or turkey should work as well.
  3. The glaze is optional, but highly recommended.
  4. These can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
  5. You can serve these with any of your favorite breakfast dishes, see some of our suggestions above.
  6. Easily double this recipe to serve more people.
