Death By Chocolate Cake

  • 1 box Triple Chocolate Cake or your favorite chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 12 oz jar hot fudge sauce


  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Splash of heavy cream
  • 4 Tbs milk
  • Chocolate shavings optional


  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Spray a 9"x13" pan with non-stick cooking spray, set aside.
  • In large bowl mix together cake mix, milk, butter and eggs until combined.
  • Spread into prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, let cool.
  • Poke holes over top of cake and then heat fudge sauce in microwave until pourable.
  • Pour into holes and spread around with spatula until soaked in, set aside.
  • To make frosting, in a bowl add your chocolate chips and a splash of heavy cream and melt in microwave stirring every 30 seconds until smooth, remove and let cool.
  • In large bowl beat your butter until smooth, add in your powdered sugar one cup at a time.
  • Add in your cooled chocolate until mixed.
  • Add in milk 1 Tbs at a time until desired consistency is reached.
