Ingredients

  • 18 oreos
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 3.4 ounce cook and serve chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups milk
  • Chocolate sauce as garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the chocolate pudding by combining the pudding mix and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk well, and cook until pudding starts to boil.
  • Be sure to stir the mixture constantly as it comes to a boil. This typically takes about 5 minutes. Then, remove it from the heat and pour it into a mixing bowl to cool.
  • Separate the Oreos into 2 ziptop bags. In the first bag, crush the Oreos into fine crumbs. In the second bag, just roughly break the Oreos into chunky crumbs.
  • Combine marshmallow fluff, sour cream, and cream cheese in a medium-sized mixing bowl and beat it all together until it's well combined.
  • Next, add ½ cup of the coarse Oreo crumbs to the fluff, cream cheese, and sour cream mixture and whisk well until all is smooth.
  • In the mixing bowl with pudding, fold in 2 tablespoons of the fine oreo crumbs and mix well.
  • Now to assemble the cups. Add a spoonful of the fine oreo crumbs to the bottom of each of the 9 jars. Then, add a spoonful of chocolate pudding on top.
  • Then layer with another spoonful of the fine Oreo crumbs.
  • Now top with Oreo cream mixture. Garnish the cups with remaining coarse Oreo crumbs. Alternate order of oreo cream and pudding in each jar if desired.
  • Serve jars and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to grab the correct type of pudding. Since we aren't refrigerating to let them set, we want to use the Cook and Serve pudding that you make on the stove.
  • The different texture Oreo crumbs really adds to this dessert. I like making the two different consistencies to enjoy with each bite.
  • You can use other pudding flavors, see my suggestions above.
  • Feel free to add on other toppings, I shared a few ideas in the FAQ section.
  • Don't be afraid to grab the kids to help make them. They tend to enjoy layering them into the jars and helping make the chocolate pudding.
  • You can easily scale this recipe to make more servings.
  • Instead of individual cups, you could layer this into a smaller casserole dish and have people scoop out a serving. The jars help contain a mess and make for a nicer, prettier presentation.
