Brownie Bowl Sundae

Brownie Sundae Bowls are incredibly easy to make and super tasty. Use your favorite waffle bowls and brownie mix to create the perfect bowl for your ice cream!

Ingredients

  • 6 waffle bowls
  • 1 boxed brownie mix I used Betty Crocker Fudge
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • Toppings: ice cream hot fudge, caramel sauce, sprinkles, whipped cream, cherries, etc.

Instructions

  • Whisk together boxed brownie mix, eggs, oil, and water until fully combined in a large mixing bowl.
  • Get waffle bowls out of the box and place all of them on a baking sheet.
  • Cut 6 pieces of foil about 15 inches long and wrap the rim of each bowl tightly.
  • Divide and pour the batter evenly between all 6 waffle bowls, they will each be about halfway full.
  • Bake the brownie batter in the bowls for 25 minutes at 350F.
  • Once they are done baking, remove them carefully from the oven and to a cooling rack for about 5 minutes before removing the foil.
  • Then all you have to do is add your ice cream and just add your favorite toppings!

Notes

  1. I used Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies, but you can use whatever box mix, or make your own homemade mix. Just use whatever ingredients you normally would to make the boxed brownies that you choose. 
  2. When eating the leftovers, microwave the brownie for 10-15 seconds to warm it back up and soften it a bit before adding ice cream and additional toppings. 
  3. Don't overbake the brownies. 
  4. Don't use bowls that have cracks in them, when you're baking the brownies, the batter will seep through the cracks. 
  5. Some recipes will tell you to make brownie bowls, but I find they can be really hard to get them out of the pan and feel like this method is better overall.
