Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 ounces ham very small dice
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • 4 burrito size flour tortillas

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whip the cream cheese with an electric hand mixer until smooth.
  • Add the sour cream, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce and mix in on low until smooth, scrape down the sides as needed.
  • Add the cheddar cheese, diced ham, and green onions, fold it in until combined.
  • On a clean work surface, place one of the flour tortillas. Spread 1/4th of the mixture on top of the tortilla, making sure there is a half-inch border around the perimeter of the tortilla.
  • Starting at the bottom of the tortilla, roll the tortilla to form a log, you want to do it so it is tight but not so tight that the tortilla will break apart when rolling.
  • Take a large piece of plastic wrap and wrap the tortilla up in the plastic wrap tightly. Tuck the edges of the plastic wrap under to form a package. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  • Place wrapped tortilla rolls into the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or even better overnight. This will help the rolls to set and keep their shape.
  • Remove from the refrigerator and unwrap the tortilla rolls and cut them into about ½ inch slices.
  • Serve immediately with more hot sauce for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  1. If you like more spice I suggest adding 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes or more hot sauce.
  2. You can use any tortilla flavor you like as long as they are burrito sized.
  3. You can use freshly shredded cheddar cheese or bagged for this, cheddar is what we go with but you can use your favorite cheese but it won't taste the same.
  4. To easily cut these I recommend using a serrated knife.
  5. These need to chill for at least 4 hours, this helps them hold up and the flavors to marry and have them be easier to cut.
  6. These can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
  7. Change out the diced ham for deli ham if you want smaller pieces.
