Seasoned Air Fryer Chicken

Quick, easy and with minimal ingredients this Seasoned Air Fryer Chicken is a tasty dinner recipe that comes together in minutes and the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken legs
  • 3 chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tbs onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add the chicken to a plastic bag. Pour olive oil and seasoning over the chicken.
  • Seal the bag with the chicken and do not remove the air. Toss the bag to coat the chicken with olive oil and seasoning until the chicken pieces are evenly covered with the seasoning mixture.
  • Coat the preheated air fryer basket with a olive oil cooking spray or line with a piece of parchment paper.
  • Cook the chicken for 25 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Flip every 6-7 minutes to cook pieces evenly.
  • Use a thermometer to ensure the thickest parts of the chicken have reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit before removing from the air fryer. Cook for additional 2 minute increments if needed.

Notes

  1. We find the best results using skin on and bone in chicken things for this recipe.
  2. For the air fryer you do not want to use regular cooking spray, you want to use an olive oil based spray, or brush with olive oil itself before placing the chicken in.
  3. You many need to cook in batches depending on how large your air fryer is.
  4. You can easily double this recipe to serve more people.
  5. Use other pieces of chicken if you like but cooking time will vary.
  6. Make sure you check the temperature of your chicken with a kitchen thermometer to make sure that it is at least 165 degrees F.
