Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, cut into 4-6 pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan
  • 1 Tbs garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In medium saucepan on stove add your butter and melt on medium heat, once melted stir in your cream cheese until blended.
  • Add in your heavy cream, parmesan, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Whisk until thickened then remove from heat and set aside.
  • Serve over your favorite pastas.

Notes

  1. You can use grated, shredded or freshly grated parmesan cheese in this recipe.
  2. Cutting up the cream cheese into chunks before adding it to your butter will help it melt evenly.
  3. If you like a more cheesier sauce, add more cheese.
  4. If you like a more thin sauce just add a little bit more cream.
  5. You can really season this to your liking by adding italian seasoning or maybe some creole to spice it up a notch, I prefer the seasonings listed in the ingredients.
