- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2 Tbs lemon juice
- 2 Tbs white distilled vinegar
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 4 6-8oz skinless salmon fillets
- Cooked rice optional
In medium sized saucepan add your honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, lemon juice, vinegar, olive oil, pepper, cayenne, paprika and garlic powder and whisk together until combined.
Heat over medium-high heat until boiling then reduce heat to medium-low to simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened.
To grill your salmon heat your grill to medium, you can also use a grill pan on the stove.
Rub both sides of your fillets with olive oil and then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Grill the salmon about 5-6 minutes per side minutes per side or until done.
Remove to plate and brush salmon with sauce.
Serve over cooked rice and a side of the sauce for dipping.
