- 3 cups Pillsbury BEST™ All Purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- White sugar cookie icing
- White/Clear and Gold sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350.
In bowl whisk together your flour, baking powder and salt until blended.
Beat your shortening and sugar in large bowl with mixer on high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
Add in egg, milk and vanilla. Gradually mix in flour mixture.
Divide dough in half. Roll out each half on lightly floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness for crisp cookies or 3/8-inch thickness for softer cookies.
Cut with Christmas tree cookie cutter and place 2 inches apart on baking sheet and bake 8-10 minutes or until slightly golden.
Remove from oven to cool on wire rack.
Once cooled decorate your cookies using white sugar cookie icing by making diagonal lines with little humps over the cookies, immediately sprinkle with sprinkles.
Let set and serve.
