Easy Fruit Pizza

Fun, quick and delicious this Easy Fruit Pizza uses minimal ingredients and is the perfect dessert or sweet breakfast recipe to add to your menu.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbs butter , softened
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1-1 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 kiwi , skinned and sliced in halves
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • Any other fruit you enjoy

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • On pizza pan or cookie sheet press your cookie dough into about a 12" circle.
  • Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until slightly golden, remove and let cool.
  • Meanwhile in bowl mix together your cream cheese, butter, extracts and powdered sugar until combined.
  • Spread over cooled cookie crust.
  • Top with fruit in your favorite designs.

Notes

  1. Make sure the crust is fully cooled before spreading on your frosting, to cool down quicker place in the refrigerator.
  2. You can use any fruit combinations that you love for this easy fruit pizza, the possibilities are endless.
  3. Not a fan of almond flavoring, simply use use all vanilla, or substitute some of a fruit flavoring for a fruit that will be topping this pizza.
  4. If you find seasonal cookie dough like lemon, that would be a great flavor different than using the sugar cookie dough we normally use.
  5. I like to bake the crust when it is slightly underdone because it keeps cooking slightly when removed from oven, this gives it a nice and chewy texture.
