- 1 large egg
- 1 ¼ cup milk
- 3 Tablespoons salted butter melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Powdered sugar optional
- Chocolate syrup optional
In a large bowl, whisk the egg with the milk. Add in the melted butter and whisk until it is well combined.
Add in the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is completely mixed and there are no large clumps of flour or cocoa powder. Be careful to not overmix.
Place a non-stick skillet on the stove over medium heat, using a ¼ cup measuring cup, measure the batter and pour over the hot skillet. (You can test the skillet by dropping a few drops of water)
Cook until the small bubbles appear on the pancake, then flip to cook on the other side. Repeat with remaining batter.
Remove from the pan and serve with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup if desired.
