Ingredients

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar packed, plus more for garnish
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • pinch of fine sea salt
  • cookies and fruit for dipping

Instructions

  • Place the heavy cream into a medium-sized bowl, and with an electric hand mixer, whip until stiff peaks form. Place in the refrigerator while we make the dip.
  • Add the cream cheese and butter to a medium-sized bowl and cream together until smooth.
  • Add the brown sugar and powdered sugar, and mix until smooth, making sure there are no lumps from the brown sugar.
  • Next, add the cinnamon, vanilla, and salt, and mix until combined.
  • Add the whipped cream to the bowl and gently fold it in.
  • Serve immediately with a garnish of optional brown sugar or refrigerate until serving with cookies and fruit of your choice.

Notes

  1. The dippers are not included in the nutritional value.
  2. Choose whatever dippers you prefer, you don't have to use what we did, some other ideas are listed above.
  3. You can easily double or triple the recipe to serve a crowd.
  4. Changing the spices is something you can do if you want to bring other flavors to this easy dip.
  5. If you don't have heavy cream, you can use 4 ounces of whipped topping (Cool Whip). If you choose this, just use ¼ cup less of the powdered sugar so it isn’t too overbearingly sweet.
  6. For creamy, smooth, non lumpy dip, be sure to use room temperature cream cheese. It mixes easier when it's softened.
  7. If using a mixer to mix everything together, try to use a taller mixing bowl so it can catch some of the splatter and you can scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate it back into the dip.
  8. This can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
