Ingredients

  • 6 ounces ramen noodles
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar packed
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 large egg
  • Thinly sliced green onions to serve
  • Everything but the bagel seasoning to serve optional

Instructions

  • Start by bringing 2 quarts of water in a pot to a boil. Add the ramen noodles to the water and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally to break them up. Drain and run cold water over the noodles to stop the cooking process, drain well and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add the garlic. Cook until fragrant, stirring constantly for 30 seconds.
  • Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes to the skillet.
  • Stir to combine it all together and cook for 1 minute or until it's bubbling.
  • Add the noodles to the skillet and coat them in the sauce.
  • Now, push the noodles to one side of the skillet and crack an egg and scramble it right in the pan before mixing with the noodles.
  • Transfer noodles and egg mixture to your serving plate and top with green onions and everything but the bagel seasoning if using, serve immediately.

Notes

  1. This TikTok Ramen recipe has a little bit of a kick to it, if you don’t like spicy food reduce the chili peppers by half or leave them out entirely.
  2. You can use whatever brand and flavor of ramen noodles you like, try a few different flavors until you find the perfect creation.
  3. Looking for other toppings, things to add or spices to toss into this ramen mix? Check out our faq section above that covers what other things to add to change things up with this easy ramen recipe.
  4. I like using tongs to help coat the ramen noodles with the sauce.
  5. You can use low sodium soy sauce or tamari in place of the regular soy sauce if desired.
