Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 - 1 ¼ cups unsweetened milk of your choice divided
  • ½ cup blueberries plus more for topping
  • ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon plus more for topping
  • Toppings like additional blueberries cinnamon, and sliced almonds

Instructions

  • n a large bowl, combine the oats, 1 cup milk, blueberries, yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir well.
  • Pour the overnight oats into a glass container with a lid. Place the container in the refrigerator and let it set for 8 hours.
  • In the morning, remove the lid and gently stir the oats. If you would like a smoother consistency, you can add the additional ¼ cup of milk to give it a more oatmeal-like consistency.
  • Serve warm or cold with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  1. If you are not an almond fan you can use walnuts or pecans.
  2. Other varieties can be made with this recipe, see above for some examples.
  3. We do not recommend freezing this recipe.
  4. Use only old fashioned oats for this recipe.
  5. Double this to serve more people.
  6. If you do not like chia seeds, they can be omitted.
  7. These need to be covered while being refrigerated, if you do not have a jar you can make it in a bowl but cover with plastic wrap.
  8. Top with more cinnamon, almonds and blueberries if desired.
