French Onion Dip

- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbs dried minced onion
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbs fresh chives or green onions chopped
In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, chopped onion, onion powder, garlic salt, pepper and 1 Tablespoon of the fresh chives.
Stir until thoroughly combined.
Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to join.
Top with remaining 1 Tablespoon fresh chives before serving.
- We like to refrigerate this for at least 30 minutes before serving, but can be served right away if necessary.
- You can use chives or green onions in this recipe.
- This can easily be doubled to make a larger batch.
- Traditionally this is served with potato chips but see above for some of my other serving options.
- You can absolutely tweak the seasonings to your liking.
- This makes about 1 cup.
