Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs unsalted butter softened
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon plus more for garnish
  • 1/8 tsp of ground clove
  • 1/8 tsp of ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp of ground allspice
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup spiced rum or to taste we use Capitan Morgan
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  • Place the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and allspice into a medium-sized bowl. Using a hand mixer, mix until combined. Place the mixture into the bottom of a heat-safe pitcher, set aside.
  • Place the apple cider and water into a small saucepot. Bring it to a simmer. Pour into the pitcher with the butter mixture.
  • Add the rum. Stir until combined.
  • Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and more ground cinnamon, optional.

Notes

  1. The batter of this recipe can be frozen for later use, or gift giving if you'd like.
  2. You can easily double or triple the batch to make a pitcher to serve more people for gatherings.
  3. You can experiment with other types of rums or you can use whisky as well.
  4. This will keep in the refrigerator covered for a couple days, just reheat in the microwave or stove.
  5. Make sure that you use a heat-proof pitcher to make this recipe.
