You guy’s know that I love myself a good pastry right? I mean baking is my jam, obviously if you’ve followed me for ANY period of time you know that I’m addicted to any and all things sweets! I have a few pastries up on the site here but nothing to completely phone home about.

Have you ever been to Las Vegas? Mr. Non Sweets Lover an I visited Vegas a few years ago and fell in love. One of the places we did have the pleasure of visiting was the ARIA Resort Hotel & Casino! We got to explore their lovely accommodations along with trying some of their amazing food! How do you think I got my addiction to all things bread pudding? Yeah that came straight out of Vegas.

Now as we are planning a trip back – hopefully soon, one of the places on our bucket list is the ever amazing Jean Philippe Patisserie! They are known for there epic and famous Raspberry Tart. Below gives you a little breakdown of the Anatomy of a Pastry, specifically the beloved tart.

In all honesty I would love to have anything crafted by Pastry Chef Jean-Philippe Maury but there is something about this Raspberry Tart that is calling my name! It literally is a thing of beauty. All the layers and details and technique that goes into this pastry shows serious time and effort on their to make something that is memorable.

So let me give it to you straight, if you’re in Las Vegas or planning a trip to Las Vegas make sure you stop by the ARIA Resort Hotel & Casino and try yourself this tart or any delicious concoction at the Jean Philippe Patisserie!
