Fun, easy and tasty these White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel Rods are the most easy and delicious treat to make for the holidays.
Map my kids are candy cane addicts. We were at Walmart the other day and they already started putting out their Christmas food and they had a wall of candy canes and my daughter just squeals. I swear my kids could live off them. Every color and flavor.
Now how can you not go through the holidays without a fun peppermint recipe? It’s absolutely necessary to at least make one peppermint dessert for all those peppermint people out there. And wow did I just use the word peppermint a bajillion times in one paragraph. Must mean I mean business.
Holiday season is here you guys!! Can you believe it! Well I think everyone kinda jumps all into holiday stuff once Halloween is over, which is fine because I’m ready to make all the Christmas and Thanksgiving food that I possibly can.
So these White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel Rods are seriously one of these easiest holiday treats/gifts that’s you can make. They take 3 ingredients. Just 3!! How amazing is that. And they are ready in less than 10 minutes. So they are a great idea when you’re running short on time or you want a quick and easy gift basket filler.
So the only question is if you can find bags of precrushed candy canes. I know weird right. I ran across them at a store we have here called Mills Fleet Farm. They have a lot of good seasonal food section of nuts and chocolate and what have you.
No issues if you can’t find a bag of precrushed candy canes, just crush them yourself. You’ll need about 1- 1 1/2 cups of crushed candy. So get a large ziploc baggie, a mallet and go to town crushing those bad boys!
Once crushed add them to a bowl or plate and melt yourself since white chocolate candyquick, you could also use white chocolate chips, I like the candy quick because it melts so easy and doesn’t seize and stays melted a while so it’s easier to work with.
Dip about 3/4 of your pretzel rods in the white chocolate, tapping off any excess and then hover it over your candy canes and sprinkle them all around it. Place on some wax paper to dry and you have yourself the perfect quick and easy holiday treat.
- 1 block White Chocolate Candyquick
- 1 bag of pretzel rods
- 1-1 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy canes
Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
Melt your candyquick according to package directions.
Once melted spoon your melted chocolate over 3/4 of the pretzel rods, tapping on side of container to let any excess chocolate drip off.
Sprinkle with crushed candy canes and set on wax paper to harden.
