Caramel Apple Waffle Skewers

With busy fall schedules we sometimes struggle to find fun snacks that are easy and the kids will enjoy that doesn’t just come in the form of a bag of chips or a quick candy bar. I like to be able to make things that are more unique and tasty that they can get their hands in on helping when we do have a little free time and these Caramel Apple Waffle Skewers are just that!

My kids love to be in the kitchen with me when they can, I think it kinda is in their blood! My daughter who is 4 is my little handy helper and these skewers are absolutely perfect to get her to help on because she’s learning to be able to stack and make the connection between layering items of difference and these using only 2 options of waffles and apples are the perfect starting point for her to learn!

Who says waffles are just for breakfast?!?! I like to look further away from that and incorporate ordinary “meals” into other times of our day! We used these super fun Kellogg’s® Eggo® Mickey Mouse Homestyle Waffles and Eggo waffles and pancakes now have no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources and this pertains to their WHOLE product line!! Who doesn’t love the sound of that?!

Caramel Apple Waffle Skewers

My daughter and I like to whip up these Caramel Apple Waffle Skewers right around the time the boys are going to get off the bus, and since it’s fall its one of their favorite flavor combinations this time of year so when they see that mom made these, there is no hesitation on snack time and the kids literally come running!

These are super simple to mix up, and the caramel sauce is absolutely to die for. With just 5 ingredients it whips up in a jiffy and is perfect to have around when that sweet tooth calls. And seriously, it is the best replacement for syrup in my opinion. For some reason the sauce just pairs so well with these Kellogg’s® Eggo® Mickey Mouse Homestyle Waffles!

Right now there is this amazing ibotta offer where you can save $0.50 on with the purchase of ONE product! In this family we love ourselves a good offer and this one we can’t pass up!

So if you’re short on time and you want some big fun flavor then these Caramel Apple Waffle Skewers are the perfect midday snack to whip up with the kids! They are family friendly and even adults love them, I don’t even want to admit how many my husband scarfed down himself! Because you know, we are all kids at heart anyways!
