Fruit Loop Krispy Bars and State Fair Food

Fruit Loop Krispy Bars
So I am one of those people who get up in the middle of the night and eat. Usually I go towards sweets. I don’t know what it is, but at like 1am I wake up absolutely famished and feel like I need to go in the kitchen and find something quick that I can pop in my mouth to satisfy my hunger. Am I alone in this or are there others like me out there? Please tell me I’m not alone in this struggle, lol! These bars have been filling that late night need lately! Thank god!

These bars were great. They are a new easy take on the typical Rice Krispy bars but amped up. Melted white chocolate cover the top and crevasses and the sprinkles add a splash of color. They are beautiful Want to know what else is beautiful? The food that we found at the Minnesota State Fair yesterday. Oh my stars we were in HEAVEN! The Minnesota State Fair is seriously something else I tell you. You can find anything on a stick, and they make it work! My husband and I made it a point to try as much as possible but that we would share each thing we got to cut down on cost and to make more room in our bellies!

ook at this deep fried goodness. So to star off we have on the left Hotdish on a stick. It’s their take on Tater tot hotdish. We have meatballs and tater tots layered then battered and deep-fried served with a gravy. It was absolutely amazing and hand’s down my husbands most favorite thing he had. On the top right was deep-fried Alligator Bites and Hush Puppies. Now I have never had alligator before, it tastes like chewy chicken. On the bottom right we have the iconic Poutine. I make Poutine all the time at home, but obviously this was amazing.

ontinuing on our little culinary adventure at the top left we have the well-known Sweet Martha’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, they pile those things on there, the literally give you a sheet pan worth of cookies in that bucket, but for $16 they better! Amazing to say the least. Now I couldn’t go to the fair without trying a deep-fried candy bar, so on the top right we have a deep-fried Snickers on a stick. Amazeballs, if you’ve never tried a deep-fried candy bar, go do it now. On the bottom right we have a Pickle Dog, which is a pickle slice with cream cheese wrapped in pastrami, so good. And last but not least we have the Scotch Egg! I’ve always wanted to try a Scotch Egg and I’m so happy that I got the chance to.

Now if looking at all that food doesn’t fill a person up I don’t know what will! Are you all ready for a quick and easy back to school treat that all the kids will love?? Remember to follow me on social media and come link up to tonight’s Throwback Thursday link party right here at 6pm CST!
